Just got my bike delivered: Eastern Shovelhead full chromo everything. Picked up a Shadow Conspiracy Classic helmet, some Fox Dirtpaws, going to order some mid school metal pedals, plus an old pair of vans; what more could a guy ask for?
But because I’m getting back into riding after 20+ years and a decent amount of change has took place, I know there’s stuff I’m forgetting.
What are the must-haves people always overlook?
Connivence tools, spare parts, protection, setup tips; hit me with the “I wish I bought this sooner” list.

Welcome back! I also recently got back into riding after a five years hiatus. Things that I have come to appreciate: a solid multi-tool (I have the Shadow one and generally love it), low-profile knee/shin pads (I have Fox Enduro knee sleeves), and having a couple spare tubes/pairs of grips/peg sleeves (if you swing that way) handy.
I’m a 4 peg guy. Lots of us old fucks were. Maybe a set of those?

Knee pads are a must, they got lots of cool technology for light, breathable, underpant and harden on impact. Lots and lots of options, if ya got a bike shop around I would try some on
