Thanks for the motivation. Iām nursing a cold and you convinced me the bike is the best medicine.
Your channel came up in my feed. I have been binge watching. Proper good stuff. Subbed. šš
The Chiltern chalk and roots of doom are a technical challenge this time of year, Josh. Amazing ride, thoroughly enjoyed it. Great year on your bike and scooter, thanks for the videos.
From super firm railways to boggy puddles everywhere. How so very quick everywhere changes as winter arrives. Time to find the raised camp spots once again šš»š¤š²šļø
Loved that early morning drone footage mate and the music. I could have watched that for an hour lol Looks like my local trails at the minute, very muddy and wet. Pirrelli Cinturato gravel M tyres ftw šš
Tweeking my bike here in Cape Town, and trying to figure out how to start smiling whilst I discover castles and history on your beautiful isle next year! Thanks for the inspiration, and sharing your positive thoughts about everything.
My favourite video Josh. Great to see your enthusiasm for winter adventure & the Chilterns. Enjoyed seeing you brake camp.š
Think you should go tubeless for next year.
Mausoleum, pronounced 'Mawsoleum'.
Great video josh glad the trye stayed up that looked muddy must do this route great bridleways
Well done braving the Chilterns mud and winter weather. Living only 5 miles from this route I think Iāll save it for the spring when things have dried out, maybe take the teens for an adventure. Your videos are always inspiring.
Please change your cap
Looked great fun just the right amount of everything! I wish all rides out went like that! Cheers.
Looks like one I'll save the summer hols š Josh would you know any rides like this (forresty) but with more trails suited to winter? I'm thinking new forrest.
Thanks Josh, as a local i have five rides around 25-40 miles that i do most days and i didn't realise they made it into a single official Chiltern Way Route.
Kinda strange watching you over the years and then seeing a video where i know every second of the trail but you're riding it….. you did it justice mate.
Delightful video.
You know it is frightfully cold when Josh puts on his gloves š..
Thank you
Enjoyed that very much. Planning it for April next year. š
What bike are you riding Josh? Iām a bike nut and always want to know what people are riding. Looks like you have very narrow handlebars but that could just be the camera lens.
New helmet Josh. Was the other one consigned to the bin?
great video Josh ! such great places you take us ! cycling is amazing <3
Yay, my old flat on the left at 24 seconds!
Great video! Agree that itās a fabulous new route. Rode the Reading to Princes Risborough section last week. Loved it, even in the pouring rain!
What's that funny looking circle thing on your head set? Is it a beeline?
I normally use Garmin explore edge 2 but like the idea of a back up nav.
Great vid btw š
Well done Josh, always enjoy watching your adventures!
17:00 I can see Louisa, ridin and a riding, riding on her hoss.
Awesome video thanks š question, other than the roadworks did you have any issues with the route? I have the GPX from cycling UK, when I import it into the OS app it looks like there's some sections which deviate from rights of way and just go along field edges (maybe there permissive paths though š¤)
Thanks, very enjoyable. That drone shot used at the end was stunning! Living in Brisbane, I always shudder watching you in āarcticā temperatures š.
Another great video āŗ Spotted this route and managed to sneak it in fairly quickly and did it in early September. Hadnt ridden in the Chilterns so wasnt sure what to expect but really enjoyed it. Close to London and many towns/villages (which was handy for resupply) but still felt you were getting away into nature. I'd done the Marcher Castles Way the month before and, whilst maybe not having quite such impressive views, I'd say I enjoyed the riding more on this route; less gravel & tarmac and more woodland trails & dirt (although it was all dry!)
This looks a beautiful ride, and not too far from home . I prefer the longer days, so will have a go in Spring . Don't know if you stopped at Tesco Express in Goring. Always good for stocking up on supplies. You were lucky to escape the rain!
That was definitely right, with long nights and short days it is easy to say no to adventure š I just keep pushing myself to do short rides in winter and always glad I did.
Great Video!! Just had a look and I live on the route! I'll definately give it a go next easter, keep up the good work.
Great as alaways Josh – i notoce you rarely wear gloves – do your hands not get really cold especilly this time of year, i couldnt think of riding without. Stay safe – EDIT see you put gloves on ,,,,
This route goes through spots in the Chilterns I used to ride all the time as a kid, and literally past my parents / childhood home. Will have a go in the summer, fair play going this time of year!
Dissing the Ginsters! That's the sponsorship out the window.
wonderful bike ride, wonderful Chilterns ,
Great video loved the frosty drone flight, could u share launch location please
A Group of us are planning to ride rhis route in a day around the solstice this year, already getting excited, only half a year to go.
I rode the North loop today as I live locally. You didn't show the sh1t parts, some sections of this route are very steep up the side of fields rideable only by horse not a gravel bike. Did anyone at Cycling UK actually ride this route? I won't be riding it again. 33:44 btw its mausoleum not molosseum.
