  1. Honestly your best bet it to plant some big bushes next to the jumps as a wind wall but you really can’t do anything bike skill related to deal with wind.

Whip or table into the wind can minimize its affect. If you are of a certain skill level a backflip is the safest wind trick. This is because you get pushed evenly instead of just your bike from under you.

As someone who’s been blown off my bike mid jump 2 times, it ain’t worth it. Live to ride another day.

I broke 2 bones in my hand a few years ago jumping in the wind. Don’t jump in the wind.

Cross wind gusts above 15-20mph I usually call it day. If it’s consistently in front or behind you it’s usually easier to compensate for, but having your bike blown out from under you sucks a lot.

When it’s too windy to ride those jumps, you can still enjoy the bush trails that are out behind those jumps somewhere in the trees. There’s a lot more to mountain biking than jumps for Instagram. I hope this helps!

  7. I have a friend who’s been relearning how to walk for like 8 years already who would probably tell you not to take the windy jump to begin with
