  1. NO! The Crux is perfect the way it is. Why do we need aero, internal storage, integrated front end and all the added weight? These features were in the realm of current gravel bike designs when the current Crux first came out. It’s the simplicity, light weight and lively feel we love. Please keep the Crux unique and better than the rest!

  2. Can we just have a good bike for a hundred bux like the old days? Stop trying to specialize everything. Bikes should not be the number one stolen item on the planet.

  3. I’d definitely think that the Revolt will get a refresh if nothing else because I bought a frame last year, where the non UDH was a advantage to me as I could swap the perfectly good groupset etc over! But I’d assume they sell relatively few frames vs bikes

  4. Cables are sooo un-aero. I keep a spare bit of outer gear cable in my pocket in case my brakes fail. If I pull it out and hold it in front of me, I stop almost instantly.

  5. Nah, won't happen. Plenty of other aero gravel options on the market. It's not what matters. Crux will get internal cable routing and slightly larger tire clearance and that's about it. Nothing else is needed. It's still the best bike on the market as-is because it's been an iterative design for over a decade.

  6. For aesthetics I would love to see an aero gravel from specialized but would prefer it to come in the form of a facelift/modified Diverge which could only enhance the riders options and versatility of this bike – Still leaving space for the Crux.
IMO – the Tarmac should stick to Tarmac where it excels

  7. crux is an enthusiast bike but you never see it in races. I like my crux in terms of fit and the tubular look. External cables bug me tho

  8. I wonder if such perspectives on updates are a little problematic. We’ve had too many years of ‘innovation’ with the basics being neglected. OEM parts from such innovation are a pain in the bum when servicing & benefits are often negligible. I know with one bike team I worked with, the mechanics simply didn’t want top of the range bikes as they were too challenging to work on. My last gravel ride was 16km-h average too…..no need for aero at that pace.

  9. Scott has also the Scott scale gravel rc if you want bigger tire clearance. No need for updating something that works just perfectly. The bike manufacturers reached theick of innovation some few years back

  10. Biggest concern with a new Crux is that they abandon its cyclocross roots. The geometry as of now is perfect for both CX and gravel just needs a little more tire clearance to accommodate 50s better.

Also unpopular opinion: I hate internal storage and don’t want it

  11. Aero for gravel ? I believe it concerns only 1% of riders who actually can sustain 30-40Kph on road (on gravel, almost no one can) The watts saved are in the comfort, right tires, right pressures and position.
