Correct. Just recently I moved down a crank size and went to road wide but the pictured crankset is SRAM force road. NOT wide. The clearance is close but it works. 48T

You might have to use a thicker spacer on the driveside and tolerate less than preferred gap to chainstay (probably like under 2mm).
Why not just use a wide crank, easily fits up to like 50 or 52
