  1. Voids are always from manufacturing, no amount of cutting will create a lack of resin.

    That said, these look very small and would be reinforced by there expansion plug, if this were my bike I would ride it without a second thought.

    That said, if you’re concerned, the original owner, and this is a new frame, I’d have my local specialized dealer file a warranty, however bear in mind they may not be able to replace the fork with a matching color.

  2. Yep. Manufacturing issue. Not a cutting issue. Not surprised with specialized.

    Porosity like that would be a problem on an airplane. Not on a bike. Just ride it.

    That’s the cleanest steerer tube and cut I’ve every seen. Ride it.

    Those things are completely over-engineered anyway. Just compare the wall thickness to frame tubes. Probably 3 times the wall thickness of *any* frame tube (to be fair the steerer tube sees some high forces and ugly stress concentrations too).

    Is it original spec frameset? I’ve read that Chinese frameset manufacturers lack on QC but i wouldnt expect it from spcialized.
