During a ride, the cassette was moving freely all over and I couldn’t shift properly. I took off the rear wheel to tighten the lock ring, but I don’t seem to see it? Can I double check I’m not missing something, there is somehow no lock ring on this wheel?

That is a freewheel. They don’t use lock rings. Instead, they thread onto your hub. Pedaling only tightens them.
It’s unlikely it’s loose. Perhaps your bearing cones/locknuts are loose. Can you describe the issue a little more?
