I'm going to be putting drop bars on this, but in the meantime while I wait for funds to get the groupset, I'm going to use my current flat bar gear. I have these Corner Bars, which I don't like, but upside down? They might make a pretty awesome touring feel setup, with the option to get really aero.

Note: They are sitting very low right now (fully slammed) due to not having spacers.

Corner bars are the unfiltered cigarette of handlebars. There are many, many people out there riding them, the vast majority of whom are just muscling through it to achieve an aesthetic.

I prefer them the other way, but I do rock the same grey PNW grips on the “drop” though.

  3. Someone at Surly headquarters has seen this and they’re trying to talk them down from a bridge.

  4. I thought the whole point was having another hand position, lol how are your hands doing on those green grips up there?

    I love that for you!

This is what I love about r/xbiking. TBH, this looks terribly uncomfortable to me… but, if it works for you, who am I to judge?

  6. this is sick.

i wanna attach harpoons on each bar end, do an all-out sprint at the end of a fishing pier, launch ramp into the ocean and shoot my fishing spears at some surfperch and have a cookout.

  7. Clamps the top tube with a mile of seat post showing, terrible bar set up for “moar airo”, this all checks out

but, I mean, if you put the grips on the part that’s pointing your way – maybe???
