(Visit www.5dayglutes.comĀ for my FREE 5-Day Glute Builder program – the perfect solution for Hip Bursitis!! š)
š„Hip Bursitisš„ Also called ātrochanteric bursitisāā¦but whatās going on is your bursae (or jelly-like sac thatās a cushion) can get inflamed and angry. You might have pain to the touch or with pressureā¦especially when you lay on your side, push it with your hand, sit for long periods of time or even cross your legs.
What can make it worse?
š« Crossing your legs or standing/laying with knees touching. (This is why quite often women with wider hips and knocked knees can really develop hip bursitis.)
š« Weak glutes, which can make your leg more likely to droop inward, placing pressure on that spot. So sometimes, even women with good alignment can still get it simply because their glutes (and the rest of their core!) is weak.
Solutions?
ā Keep your feet/knees spread. You wonāt have to do this forever, but as long as the bursa is angry, you should keep as much tension off it as possible. (Sleeping with a pillow between your knees can really help.)
ā Build up your glute strength!!
If you need help with the strengthening part, thatās my specialty šĀ š Just visit [www.5dayglutes.com](http://www.5dayglutes.com) for my free 5-Day Glute Builder program that includes all the best beginner friendly glute exercises!!

What if pain is down closer to the thigh?
I can't even cross my legs It's too painful. I can't put my foot on top of my knee and I'm having difficulty walking and sleeping on the side. Any other suggestions?
I just took a weeks worth of Prednisone preceded by a Celestone shot for hip bursitis. I can't take steroids. They make me shake and feel crazy. I guess my glutes are weak. Thank you for the video.
Thank you, when I use pillow between legs, I get severe pain around my right knee sometime later, what does it mean or indicate as symptoms
Yes, yes, yes exactly hit the nail on the head. The pillow between the legs at night is real important. It really helps. And turmeric the golden paste.
Yes yes
Thank you very MUCHā¤

Hip bursa in it's worse 10 of 10. It makes your bottom muscles complitely numb, like covered by a metal net. You cant sit, walk, slip or exercise. You wont be able to sit on the toilet or go on stairs. It blocks you and you wont be able to lift your leg for step or to move it inside. You start feeling like your leg is shorter than other, so you have painful limp. Horrific pain triple worse then when I had hip atritis.
thank you so much for explaining this so clearly!! It explains why I suddenly felt it so strong and it's not been going away
I literally do stand with my legs crossed, stand with feet close together, and sit with legs crossed often š š š wish Iād known for I have sciatica and bursitis now š
Thanks!
Is it effective for Trochanteric Bursitis?
Glad I found you can't walk with this horrid paid had flare up. And sleep on that side need a pillow.
Mean is on the inside my hip sack
This developed for me a couple of months ago š£ hoping with strengthening it'll get better! I naturally always want to cross my legs and sit in pretzel-y ways š¬ so that'll be the biggest challenge in all of this.
Do you also have a youtubechannel?
She's great šš
It's not necessarily bursitis. I have gluteal tendonopathy. Same pain, different structures being triggered.
I have never had Bursitis it came out of the blue. I could ny move or weight bear to touch the area , Dr came to my house suggested ice and gave me an injection. Iām up today but donāt want that to happen again. Iām 73 years old.
Reportedly, the hip bursitis is less common as compared to GTPS( Greater trochanter pain syndrome) .But the exercise you have adviced has worked well in many of my patients.ā¤
Need more videos on other joints pain. Thanks madam.
