Mixing 10s campagnolo + shimano

Hey!

So I wanted to service my c40 for a long time mostly cause I’m quite sure it’s the original bb so it never pulled out and while I’m doing that to sleep better at night I thought of installing the Fsa crank which is now installed on one of my dailies (no need for gears here).

So few questions –

1. Will the fsa crank work with 2 plates on my c40 system (10s record)? I guess 1 plate will work but I like having two.

2. If it’s possible then what chain do I need to use? Campagnolo or shimano?

3 I’ve heard Fsa cranks tend to free themselves spontaneously but in my case it seems like it’s over tightening, I find the friction a bit too much so I open the bolt 1/4 circle – and perfect! but then it keeps tightening, what’s going on with that? 😅
