  1. I don’t know if you’ll be able to open the rear hatch on your urban assault vehicle with the 1up.

The 1up quick rack has made my riding experience better. It’s the best engineered rack, easily. Using materials resistant to winter conditions.

I have a hatchback and I can’t open it easily with a bike on the rack, but it’s so easy to take a bike on and off the 1up it doesn’t really matter.

Quickrstuff makes a similar rack (nearly identical) and there is some drama about who has ownership of the design… I just bought from the company that sold one for cheaper, which was 1up.

  2. The thing tilts down even further than horizontal so you should be able to open a rear hatch with bikes not on there.
Mine’s on a Chevy Colorado so I have a tailgate not a hatch. I can lower the tailgate all the way as long as there’s not a bike in the closest position to the vehicle.
