Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my sleeping system this year, looking at sleeping mat specifically.
I already bought this aluminium/foam pad to put under the mat to add extra protection from cold: https://amzn.to/4qHMD7q
and now I'm looking to replace my inflatable mat I bought from ebay some 3 years ago… It's 4.5cm thick, has integrated pillow and weights 540g. I just wish it was more comfortable… and with the new addon of the aluminium pad which weighs 100g, it would be nice to get something lighter… so here are my candidates, all from Alpkit:
Numo: https://alpkit.com/products/numo
Cloud: https://alpkit.com/products/cloud-base
Radiant: https://alpkit.com/products/radiant-insulated-inflatable-camping-mat
The last one looks super good, but I'm not sure I want to invest almost £90 in something that can easily and quickly break… so… Numo or Cloud? Or have you got another idea – budget around £40
Many thanks!

I would seriously urge you not to buy a Numo
Mine lasted about 7 nights of use before failing on night 1 of a 6 day hike in the Sierra Nevada. When i checked after in a bath there was air coming out along a couple of the seam lines from several spots so it wasn’t a puncture which can happen. I’m 85kg. It wasn’t very comfy either IMO and it slid around like a MFer
Tbf Alpkit sent me a brand new one but i would never trust it.
My new one is great but 4x over your budget unfortunately. But the design is more similar to the cloud and i find it much comfier and harder to roll off
It depends on when you want to go away.
I’m a fan of the cloud. I’ve currently only used it in a bivi but I found it really comfortable. I don’t think I would particularly want to use it in the winter but it has been great for my use which is mostly warmer and nicer conditions. My favourite thing is due to the size and weight I never leave it at home, I previously had a tendency on faster paced one night trips to leave my bigger mats at home
