Hi, i own a Bianchi Specialissima X4 from 1987 with Campagnolo Super Record group. However the wheels are Campagnolo Vento from the 90s. Though i like the aesthetics, would you consider changing them to a Campagnolo Omega rims?
Will Omega rims noticeably improve performance? If not don’t bother.

I’m thinking of buying some Campy Zonda wheels from this era for a 90s project. Personally I think even modern wheels look good on old bikes but if you want to recreate something historically accurate then I guess you need the right wheels.

Looks great with the aero wheels

I see how the aero wheels push the classic look beyond the 80s but they really do look cool and they’re also in line with the type of upgrades someone might have done to the bike so I say keep them! Beautiful bike!

First what a beautiful bike. I see two things. Rear rim right at the O in Vento there looks like a hole in the rim. Maybe just pad build up. Second that rear pad. I believe there is a stop that should be flipped so it is towards the front. Prevents the blocks from sliding out. Could be wrong it have been 25 years since I worked in a shop. Super clean bike.

Holy shit, this bike is stunning. How is the paint in such good condition? How did you get the metal so shiny? Did you do any touch up painting or anything? Does this bike get ridden?
