Hi everyone, looking for any help possible recovering my beloved lavender Trek bike, long shot, I know. It was stolen while I was at the climbing gym (Dogpatch Boulders in San Francisco) today 1/3 sometime during the afternoon. I came outside and the lock was cut. They are trying to get footage from the building manager but haven’t gotten it yet. I will give reward $$ if you help me recover my bike, thank you for helping!

That is not the type of bike you ever put on a lock. Get a beater bike or find a way to bring it inside. It’s an unfortunate right of passage as a cyclist. A tough expensive lesson. You could insure your bike to have some peace of mind to replace it if it happens again. Maybe check your home or renters insurance if there is any coverage. Sorry for your loss!

  2. I know you’re already registered on Bike Index, but it can’t hurt to register with project529.com as well. 529 Garage seems to be more widely talked about these days than Bike Index.

  3. Hide an Apple air tag or tracking device underneath the seat or somewhere on the bike next time and report to popo. A chain or lock is not enough security precaution for an expensive bike

Not a purple trek! Such a tragedy.

Sorry for your loss and hope you get it back
