Slippery yet concealing. To do it right it’s gonna take a few cycles of REALLY cleaning my chain and applying this stuff. It is really slick and smooth changes. But as you can see, chain isn’t clean…. enough.
The Silca drip wax is even better – my favorite mechanic put it on my gravel bike after some maintenance and it ran sooooo much smoother and quieter. Won’t go back to Squirt now.
I also find that 2-3 applications to a clean chain, just a drop or two on each roller, seems to be the magic number.

Do you get the little black wax balls all over your floor with squirt? That’s my only complaint with it. Hot waxing once a month or so then applying squirt in between has resulted in the smoothest running drivetrain I’ve had!
