Join me for a ride through the iconic Surrey Hills — one of the UK’s most beautiful and challenging cycling spots. From tough climbs to amazing scenery, this one had everything. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth every pedal stroke!
This route included some classic climbs, rolling roads, and plenty of leg-testing sections. A proper day out on the bike! I love sharing the highs and lows of real rides, and this one definitely had both.
Thanks for riding along — more cycling adventures coming soon 🚴♂️🔥

I miss living over that way, that Holmbury St Mary road is one of the nicest and quietest roads in the county. I don't miss the volume of cyclists, Kent is a lot quieter but Surrey has the money so the roads are usually better! Haha
I think the time of year helped reduce the number of bikes on the road but i know what you mean!
I haven't been over there for a few years and instantly remembered how good it is! Great roads, good climbs and long descents. I definitely plan to go back next summer 👌
I took the Ryet Aliexpress wheels into the Surrey Hills for a proper real-world test — White Down and Box Hill back-to-back.
Ended up getting PBs on both climbs which genuinely surprised me!

You managed to capture something that doesn’t happen very often, Al on the front!
🚴♂ The Surrey Hills never disappoint — even when I’m chasing PBs on “cheap” carbon!
