    It’s hard to say. They’ll wear down your pads faster, they’ll be annoying, they’ll feel kinda bad when they brake. If they stop then there’s not really anything wrong with them.

    This is a full on “replace if you care” situation. Refinishing the braking surface isn’t a viable solution, you really took a lot of material off there. You could sand em down but never enough to make em flat again.

  2. Mavic made a “sanding” block for this exact purpose. The problem here is that you wile sand down  and remove material, weakening the rims ability to keep its shape when the tire is inflated. The rim would literally fold over from the pressure of the clincher, causing a bad fall or even death. 

    Replace.
