There were literally siren sounds and lights flickering. The one on the car didnt even just drive to the edge to give way for the ambulance. Second, the ambulance is literally a medical truck, and no matter how many side mirrors there are, they wont see it, specially in a panic-ish situation
There is no need for the oncoming driver to stop, move left and slow maybe. drivers also should not brake hard without checking that no one is too close behind.
the chain of causation is the Ambulance overtaking solid white line which they don't have the exemption for over taking on the solid white lines. check the video about the similar to this video https://youtube.com/shorts/TMqdS5xw9NM?si=tgXIgbv95hN8SrLE
Yeah that was not the ambulances fault, nor did it cause the crash. Reasoning: In the EFAD (Emergency Fire Appliance Driving) course, which is very similar to the ambulance driving course, if you crash into anything, even if in normal circumstances its not your fault, if you are driving 999, its your fault because you are responding. In this case, no contact was made between the ambulance and the two vehicles that crashed. This accident was caused by the hard braking from the ford, and the other vehicle not laying enough attention to the road ahead of them and/or driving too close to the ford in front, as no matter what the vehicle infract of you does, unless you are driving a HGV, you should be able to stop.
Traffic is supposed to pull over and slow down/stop for emergency vehicles. So the ambulance did NOT cause the accident, it was the idiot who decided to squeeze past the vehicle that had stopped.
Unfortunately too many people don’t know how to behave when encountering emergency vehicles on our UK roads.
Driver was rollotto close. That's not the emergency vehicles fault. That's that driver's fault for following to close. If you can't brake in time to not hit the car in front of you your following to close. I am a professional traffic controller and certified Smart driver, so yeah 8 seconds following distance. Hopefully the car has insurance

Ambulance caused a crash? Emergency lights and sirens were on, they did nothing wrong.
Not the ambulance’s fault, it’s the driver at the back fault for not leaving enough room

Driver behind is at fault and liable for their damages, per unsafe speed for conditions.
