I’ve got those same reelights, I wish they had a darker mode. All the modes seem way too bright for night riding.

Excellent composition of the photo. Lights are a must this time of year. I don’t really appreciate much of the recent technology in the biking world, but I sure do love the modern led lights. It sure is nice not being worried about the sun going down while you are still out on the trail. In the fall and winter it sure is nice to be able to see trail contours and obstacles. One of my favorite local areas is full of deciduous trees and the leaves can cover the details of the trail very well.i use lights even before sunset often just to see the ground better. We always bring 2 lights on each bike just to be prepared. Even the $14 model I have works great. The more expensive ones work even better, but aren’t required.
There is definitely something special about putting lights on and having the road or trail to yourself as you speed through the dark in your own little bubble of light.

Daylight saving (💩) and my schedule means I often ride before/while the sun rises and return after the sun’s dipped

The weather is super weird here in SE Michigan. Almost 60F, rain stopped. Took a nice long ride tonight. No one out and about .Was a great feeling.
