I recently swapped for a shorter crank arm and due to gxp compatibility I was stuck with a more inferior product (compared to direct mount carbon quarq w/wolftooth chainring)

I noticed straight chainline chain noise as it catches the teeth on the chainring and more noticeable under load. My previous setup was completely silent (tried same chain and different chain)

Is it the inferior chainring? Is it the stupid ruts to fit the links on it? I’m thinking about buying an Absoluteblack chainring to see if it will improve but wanted to ask before I shell out money

Additionally, it feels like the chain isn’t on though visually it’s fine. Not as smooth as previous
