How to avoid “squashing the lip”? I feel like I’m doing a good job pumping the run up and standing up to the jump, but when my rear tire hits the lip I alway bend my legs.

Maybe you’re compressing the suspension too early.
Your body isn’t moving. You aren’t standing up at the lip of the jump. Compress at the transition, stand up at the top.
not once did you stand up. Your legs stayed bent the entire time
Remember that you are doing the jump and bike is coming with you
As others said you’re not moving enough on your bike but there’s also a timing issue. You stand (or try too) too early, you start from the compression bottom of the kick and when you finish your rear wheel is still at one bike length of the lip. Consequence of this, you’re already pushing downwards when your bike leaves the kick, so you squash it.
You want to be low on your bike in the compression, start pushing in the “climb” and stand tall at the precise momen where your rear wheel leaves the ground. Or in another way, you have to do everything a bit later than what you’re doing on this video.
It’s all in the ankles
