Yeah it’s a suspension seatpost that worked its way loose. They can get it out and either reassemble or replaced

A few things could have happened.
You have a shock seatpost, and the collar that’s above the seatpost clamp loosened. Makes me concerned that you can’t see the threads above the seatpost clamp though so that leads me to the second possibility; the threads snapped off.
Best way to investigate is to loosen the seatpost clamp completely, and try to remove the whole post. If the threads snapped off, you won’t want the outer sleeve of the shock post to stay stuck in the frame.
Judging by how the actual upper portion is slacked back, it leads me to believe it’s the latter of the two options. A replacement seatpost is under $50 unless you wanted to upgrade. A solid upgrade is a shock seatpost either from Redshift or a Cane Creek Thudbuster post.
