Took my wabi classic out for my first audax event and finished in 11h 42m.
This was a great time – ended up doing most of the ride solo, and once you lock in to the right effort and cadence it feels incredible.

The risers were good for the added height, but my hands really hurt in the last few km so next time it might be drops or some alt bar.

has anyone had experience with 300+ km rides on fixed? please send tips

  1. Way to go! Big miles on a fixed gear are so rewarding! Longest I’ve done is about 380km in one go. I used risers and some inner bar ends from sq labs, that worked wonderfully. Drops with faux hoods can also be a good way to go, I just prefer risers (too much mountain bike coding in my early riding years lol). Eat more than you think you need to, same for electrolytes. I shoot for around 80 g of carbs an hour, but that’s a p individual thing. Everyone has their sweet spot. Keep it up!!
