It’s a “downhill” eMTB, because we all need motors to help us get down that hill.
It looks like the electrified and mountain bike frame from 15 years ago.
Glad they decided to use off the shelf components fox, shimano, RockShox, instead of trying to “reinvent the wheel”.
The best (meaning, most out of touch) part of the bike is that their “goal was to combine motorcycle and bicycle experiences in a single product that could handle mountainous terrain”.
Like literally, those are the exact types of eMTBs we’re trying to keep off trails. Let’s stick with class 1 please.

I thought it was just road guys who cry about everything. Seems they have infiltrated the MTB community over the last 7-8 years.
Eta. It’s a Honda with two wheels. It’s probably incredible.
Normally they’re total shit, but considering Honda built a World Cup winning downhill race bike and their immense motorcycle history, I’d reserve judgement on this one until the real product emerges.

Car companies have had branded bicycles since last century. It seems pretty natural for Honda do make an eMTB because they’ve been the No. 1 motorcycle maker for over 60’s. I remember watching Honda’s downhill bike make practice runs 20 years ago.
I dont think that class 2 or 3 eMTBs should be allowed on the trail. AND class 1s should give non-motorized the right of way.
