I recently swapped my Nitto Dirt Drops (RM013) for Soma Portolas. It's a weird bar, a couple folks said they sucked (more specifically offered no good positions) but on this bike and where I am going they've really worked out nicely.
Hoping the pictures are helpful if anyone else is considering them. A hard bar to look at in online product images (often not installed on bike).
There aren't enough 26.0 (or 25.4) clamp sized flared drops out there. I am glad I resisted the pushback and gave em a try!

There’s no drop bar position setup like that. That’s why people don’t like them.
do you have to lean forward a lot to go from the hoods to the drops? the shape and position of the drops seems like the biggest difference between those and modern “gravel bars”
