Yesterday was the winter solstice, the shortest day of year, here in Boston the sun rose at 7:10am and set again at 4:14pm. I set myself the challenge of completing 100 miles on the bike in this short day with the sun slung low in the sky.
I left the house at 7:10am, watched the sunrise over the mystic river, and rode through to sunset completing 100 miles returning at 4:14 right at dusk.
Tired, hungry, glad I did it.
