Hello, newbie here. I’m fixing up a 90’s Cannondale hybrid for a commuter/city cruiser. I bought this LL Bean canvas bike bag because I liked the look of it.
I didn’t really think it through as to how it would attach to my bike rack. The more I play around with it the more I realize this might be a frame bag that hangs over the top tube? Do you see any way that I can mount it to my rack? Thanks

The top section does look quite narrow, does it fit?
If you do fit it to that rack you will need to add some plastic or plywood inside the bag to stiffen it otherwise it will end in the wheel locking it and causing a crash.
You can buy 3rd party pannier hardware to convert stuff to panniers. I did so with some waste bins, also works well with bags.

That’s a nice looking bag but I think you’re right, there’s no way to attach it to your rack without modifications. Sea to Summit makes replacement buckles you might be able to use to change the gender of one buckle on each side. If the straps are long enough, you could then buckle each side around the rack.
