Title got my bike last night and have ridden over 5 miles so far, at the shop the dude pulled out a helmet, tried it on, fit pretty well, and that was about it. On the way home taking the bus I noticed the bus driver holding back a smile and finally sat down and saw my reflection….
This helmet, while fits well, looks massive lol
This is the helmet I got
Maybe it was just me but my cyclist friend stopped by today and even he pointed it out, on top of reviews saying the same thing.
Does anyone know other helmet brands that have a slimmer build? Also one that has more vents? I went to the bakery and I can feel the heat radiation off my head and it's night time

I like giro helmets. They’re very safe and also more ventilated and slimmer
The helmet looks nice. However, many brands make slim helmets with vents. Don’t know where you’re from and what’s available, but there are relatively inexpensive Giro helmets here in Canada. I got the basic helmet with Mibs and it’s been my helmet for a couple of years already. Just go back to the shop honestly, they certainly will have a couple of models.
I have the Starvos helmet and it’s cooling is great and doesn’t look huge.
I use Lazer helmets and they have a lot of ventilation. They are not as bulky as the ones you linked. I also avoid helmets with dark colors because they absorb a lot of heat in full sun.
