So today we’re cycling a route that could honestly make a grown man cry. It’s 150 km with 2 and a half thousand m of elevation through the grippy Welsh hills. This is the devil’s handshake. No messing about with this one. It’s kicking things straight off with 305 m straight up the Pelli Mountain. Consider it a taste of what’s to come. You then drop into descent which feels like you’re falling off the side of Wales. 80 km straight technical corners and crosswinds that could honestly send you sideways at any moment. After that, it’s then 100 km of rolling roads through 17% ramps and straight into St. David’s, the smallest city in the UK. Take a moment to grab a coffee and recharge the morale cuz then it’s straight into 30 km of proper Welsh headwind. Rolled this for about half an hour, but by 120 km, I was cooked. HP on zero. Quick res though from a Mars bar at the local lis and it’s another humbling 30k back home. This route honestly had everything. wind walls kind of new religious experiences. Flat roads though, don’t be daff mate.

Try mountain biking and you say this is hard😂
Perfect bike for it though. Nice light rim brakes. Classy choice
Congratulations, you did almost all my cycling vacation in wales in one day(i did it in 20 days with kids and tents, sleeping bags and everything). Trully a beautifull place. Except from the refinery near pembroke ^^'
Interesting. Did a race on Sunday, the Bowral Classic in Australia. Very similar, 150km, and just over 2300m of climbing. And like you, I wanted to go home right at 130km 😂
I can't believe you stopped the activity recording before you reached the full 150k
