Good morning, English on the move family. I’m still here in Balazuk, this beautiful village. And this morning, I’m taking you with me on a very important mission. A mission. This morning, we’re going to be going for a run to a bakery to pick up a baguette, a baguette of bread. And you may be wondering, why is this guy wearing a sweater if he’s going for a run? Well, let me tell you guys, it’s only 2° this morning here in Balazuk. So, I have to start my run wearing this sweater because it’s very cold. But underneath underneath my sweater, I have my t-shirt underneath my sweater. I have my t-shirt underneath my sweater so I can take it off when I start sweating. When you wear an article of clothing on top of another article of clothing, you call that layering. Layering. So, I’m layering right now. But soon when I’m sweating, I’ll be able to remove my sweater and I’ll just have my t-shirt on. So, let’s start running and let’s talk more about this mission. So, since I arrived in Balazuk, I’ve been going for a run every morning. Every morning to buy a baguette of bread. It not only gives me a goal and something to do, but it gives me a good reason to stay in shape. This village has a bakery, but at this time of the year, it’s closed. The bakery is closed. So each morning I have to run through two other villages to get to the closest village that is open for me to buy my bread. Round trip to go to the bakery and back usually takes me about 1 hour depending on how fast I run. But today, since I’m bringing you along for at least part of it, it might take me a little longer because I I have to talk and run at the same time. Let me just stop for a moment because I need you to see how beautiful this landscape is. [sighs] This is my view right now. And I’m in the middle of this bridge. The bridge crosses this river. this river. And there’s the village of Bellazuk that I’m leaving behind for my run. Okay, that was a long enough break. We need to keep running. So, as I mentioned earlier, the closest bakery that’s open is about 1 hour away. And it’s a really good workout because I have to run up and down many different hills. There are many different hills and slopes for me to tackle. to tackle. For instance, here’s our first hill to tackle. It might not look very steep on camera, but I assure you, I assure you it is. Running is an excellent way to stay fit. To stay fit. To stay fit means to stay in shape. It’s an excellent way to stay in shape. When I run, my heart works harder and beats faster. Okay, let me finish this hill and when I get to the top, I’ll be back. Okay, I made it. I made it to the top of the hill. Now I’m on my way down the hill and I’m able to catch my breath. To catch my breath. But as I was mentioning, running is a great way to stay in shape because it increases your heart rate and it gets your blood pumping through your veins, through your veins. And with regular training, my heart gets stronger, stronger, which means in my daily life, I feel less tired overall, less tired. And I feel like I have more energy, more energy throughout the day. So I love running. When I run on a regular basis, on a regular basis, things like climbing stairs are easier. Hiking is easier. My whole body feels much more efficient. efficient. I inhale and I exhale and it also strengthens it strengthens the muscles in my legs. We’ve almost reached the next village that I need to run through to get to the bakery. And it’s so beautiful. I also love running because it also [snorts] helps control body weight. Body weight because when you run, you’re burning calories. Calories. Calories are units of energy. And if you don’t burn enough calories, you can get overweight. Overweight. And being overweight can increase your chances of diabetes and heart disease. Diabetes and heart disease, [snorts] which are two things that I do not want. It can also help with high blood pressure. high blood pressure. You don’t see the results of running overnight. It takes time to see the benefits and to feel the benefits. But if you stay consistent, if you stay consistent, you will definitely see results. Running isn’t just incredible for your physical health, it’s amazing for your mental health. When I run, my body releases endorphins and hormones that make me feel much more calm and positive throughout the day. I track all of my runs on my Apple Watch so that I can monitor my progress and keep track of my goals. It also keeps track of how many calories I’ve burned, how many calories I’ve burned. Being able to keep track of my performance and goals with my Apple Watch, I’m able to stay motivated motivated to keep being physical every day. And of course, the watch also keeps track of other health metrics. other health metrics so that I can see how my body is doing on a daily basis which helps me understand other parts of my health. It’s really cold in the mornings here in the Ardesh region, but after a few minutes of running, my body warms up and I start to sweat. So, I’m gonna stop and I’m going to remove one of my layers of clothing. One of my layers of clothing. Okay, that’s much better. I was really starting to work up a sweat. Work up a sweat. I really enjoy running in the mornings because the air is really fresh. Even though it’s cold, the air is crisp and fresh, and I’m still able to work up a sweat. Even though it’s so cold out, I’m getting closer closer to the bakery where I can purchase my baguetta bread. When I get my baguette of bread, I’m going to show you what it looks like, and you can tell me if you think that it’s delicious. Or at least you can tell me if you think it looks delicious. So, I’ll be back and the next time you see me, I’ll have a French baguette of bread underneath my arm. It should be an interesting run home. I’ll see you when I have my bread. Mission accomplished. One of the best English learning videos I’ve ever watched, especially the way you teach us new words while running, and the great advice you give. I honestly don’t know how this video hasn’t gotten more likes. I’m B2 level by the way 👍 and I’m so excited to keep working toward my goal of reaching C2 level.
