Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some help/advice. I recently installed a brand new SRAM AXS XPLR groupset, and since then I’m getting a strange noise when braking.
The noise comes from the rear brake
It’s not the usual sound of contaminated brake pads
The braking power feels normal, but the noise is very noticeable
I’ve attached a video so you can hear it clearly
The bike and all components are new, including the rotors and pads.
Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Sounds like your flat bladed spokes on such a sudden stop with no loading on the wheel ie not sat on the bike
Are they new rotors? If they are Shimano they could be too thin for SRAM, if they are old SRAM they could be contaminated, or they could be fine and you need to ride it.
In think that’s from the spokes
Squeal or chatter is usually due to the rotors or pads not being bedded in properly or sufficiently. And they can be contaminated at any time with finger oils, overspray or even aggressive cleaning solutions that take away the bedding in preparations
