What up yall!
I have an older model Hayduke (2020) that I’ve taken on casual 1-2 overnighters and use as my daily bike for trail riding. I’m moving to the east coast and looking to turn it into a longer distance, mellower terrain bike. I think I found it can fit up to 29×2.3 tires. I’m currently on 27.5×3.0ish.
I’m a bike noob, since owning this bike I’ve really just ridden it and not paid attention to parts. Hoping someone has some advice for tires. I was thinking that going with the bigger, skinnier tires (and rims) would turn it into a better gravelly rig.
Or should I look into a rigid fork even? Any advice appreciated!
Thanks!

29×2.3 mezcals would be great. The feel of a 29er tire vs 27.5 plus is pretty big. For me, the best gravel bikes are hardtail 29ers.
unless you’re doing some sand and loose stuff or really rocky stuff i’d go 29×2.3 or even 2.1 or 2.2. good comfort still, and feels less like a monster truck.
