I’ve lived in Europe for 30 years and here are my favorite places to visit in Winter Lapland is an obvious choice it’s a winter wonderland home to Father Christmas and you can do loads of fun activities like dog sledding going on snowmobile tours and if you’re lucky even seeing the Northern Lights the Italian cities it doesn’t matter which one Rome Florence Milan whichever Italian city you want to visit visit in Winter to avoid the summer crowds summer prices and summer heat I’m partial to trentino and the Italian Alps but honestly the Swiss the French the austern Alps all of the mountains are incredible places to learn how to ski and spend a bit of time in a snowy Winter Wonderland if you don’t want a winter wonderland and actually want some heat head to tener for some winter sun even in December you’ll find 25° and you’ll be able to swim in the ocean go to the beach Tan hike and explore this diverse Island layer up because it will be cold but the stunning Landscapes of the land of Ice and Fire are even more impressive in winter when you can do winterly activities like an ice cap tour and seeing the Northern Lights
