1997 GT Karakoram retso-mod. I put the frame in deep storage a few decades ago and rebuilt it maybe 5 years ago. The front wheel is original, rear wheel is 1999 Chris King and a Rhynolite. Lots of other old bits with a newer fork and bars. Took it out today for 12 miles of concrete bike path and 8 miles of single track chunk. Still a sweet ride!

Unless you’ve repainted/re-decal’d it, your “’97 Karakoram” is a ’98. Lucky you, though…the ’98 used Reynolds 525 tubing where the ’97 was (still nice) unbranded chromoly.
