I'm considering a purchase based on few photos and the most distinguishing feature of the bike is this downtube lug. Anyone know it?
On the seat tube there's a decal that says "champion du monde," so i assume it's a French manufacturer.

Are you sure it doesn’t say “Campione del Monde”? The Italian tricolor under the shifter leads me to believe it’s an Italian bike. I believe Bottechia used similar lugs and a Tricolor scheme on their decals, as well as center-pull brakes. Hard to tell without seeing the rest of the bike.
