It’s a decent enough book second only to Jobst Brandt’s Wheelbuilding book. The only real tip I picked up from Gerd was to use brass washers under the J bend of spokes as where they hook into the hub flange. I now have brass washers on all wheels I build. All my wheels are built the Jobst way though!
