Hey champs, recently got this 2016 fairdale weekender for a steal. I think it’s the archer version, put some risers on it since I’m just a normie commuter. Seeing as how people on these streets are out to kill us I find myself riding on unkept sidewalks. Sometimes I come across a choice “urban a frame” jump and want to know if I’m safe to jump this bad boy off those. I’m not planning on hitting tasty jumps but maybe 3~4 feet of air. I’m a big boy, losing weight but I’m hovering around 230 on a good day. Frame is chromoly double butted steel. Let me know before the fork goes through my skull. Thanks in advance.

I’d feel comfortable hopping off curbs or down 2-3 stair flights

Even the rubber duckie has a helmet so send it!
I’ve ridden single track on my rigid trek, so yes, go for it

As much as any bike really is when it has gears and larger wheels. Might want to check spoke tension. See if they all play the same note roughly. Fix any bassy ones
Isn’t Fairdale owned by Taj Mihelich? That dude was a gnarly bmx pro, I’d trust it.
Fairdale as a company is aimed at old BMX guys, so their stuff is all chromoly and plenty strong for that type of riding.
Double-wall rims and stainless steel spokes should do, but might look into something stiffer, like spokes specced for DH and dirt jumping.
Keep the tyres up so no pinch flats and you’re good bb
Yeah, but try to use some form and finesse. If you don’t absorb the shock a bit with your body, it’ll be tougher on the wheels.
