  1. Looking good. Id say the timing of your pop is a bit off, you can see your rear wheel kind of getting pressed over the lip rather than going up. Maybe try to focus a bit less on the bunnyhop aspect of it and more on the timing of the pressing down and extending on the lip.

What are you doing now is just standing up straight and then push a bit at the last moment with your legs. Go back to the pump track. Jumping is just like a pump track except they cut off the top half of a roller. Get your chest lower to the bars by squatting as you are rolling into the base of the jump so that you give your body and legs room to extend and push against the ramp as you go up it.

I think this video is the best video by far for learning how to jump. I rewatch the first few minutes every season to help refresh my pumping form. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCPh4rNGSno&t=271s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCPh4rNGSno&t=271s)

What you do isn’t too far off, but your timing is tho.
And yes you put too much effort in (and waste it) because you need to learn the right timing of compressing the shock and extending to jump (keep the bunny hop motion in mind front first) you waste alot of energy because because of that.
And also you could pull the bars a little more towards you on take-off imo.
maybe try those jumps a touch slower.

  4. The fact you are jumping with purpose is great (as opposed to the old dead sailor send). I do think your timing is off however, which is leading it to look a little jerky and probably causing you to use more effort than you need to. Keep at it though. Bigger jumps and style will come naturally as you become more comfortable on your bike and as boosting a jump becomes smooth and effortless. I don’t feel that any amount of internet advice will replace just getting on your bike and hitting jump trails over and over. You will eventually start feeling the sweet spot and from there you will start progressing fast.
