I am a beginner triathlete looking for a bike on fb marketplace. I came across this and I e heard it was a good brand. I am 6,1 longer legs. I am wondering if anyone thinks this bike will be okay: from what I’ve found it is a 2009 cervelo p2 ultegra. He has it at 500$ is this worth it?

Frame size is everything, it has to fit you. Cervelo has name recognition as a premium brand so resale value is good.
Something to consider: a traditional road bike with aero bars will be fine for a beginner triathlete, and will make for better training rides if you have hills or turns where you plan to ride.
TT and Tri bikes have unique rider positioning and steering characteristics that are usually realized after taking it out it for a few rides.
