    dont..
its ali express at first so cheap chinesium and simply not worth your health

I give you reason, but looks amazing, sound overcomplicated and maybe risky but looks amazing!

NGL, that’s something I’d be interested in trying to make work just because it’s cool, not because I need brakes or a gyro.

I think I’d do something different, like try to hide it in the steer tube, kinda like “integrated cockpits” on road bikes.

I’m a Hydraulic Hose engineer though, so this is at the intersection of a couple of things that interest me.

This coupling type is called a rotary union. I looked into making one for an MTB rider a few years ago as I have a metal lathe and mill, but nothing came of the project. I think he liked the idea more than he wanted to pay for such a device.

Hydraulic gyros and brakes can be made to work on a BMX but definitely avoid an Aliexpress one, has a ton of resistance turning the bars and leaks like hell according the one guy I could find on Youtube who tried one.

There’s a guy called TJ Henderson who’s done a whole hydraulic brake conversion including a hydraulic gyro for his BMX. He’s got some videos on Instagram and Youtube about the whole process if you want to see what’s involved because it’s a fairly complicated set up compared to a traditional gyro and U-brake.
