Building up this stumpy as a grocery getter. Wish the aftermarket fork had enough clearance for fenders with the 26×2.2 tires. Just throwing parts at the wall to see what sticks. Undecided on shifters and brake levers atm.

Those tanwall Ikons look so good on it. Nice build!
I’d probably pull back the front rack as much as you can while keeping it level. Weight that far ahead is massively annoying to deal with when not riding.

Mocking up my $80 Stumpy similarly. Not going to use the grip shift x-rays. Got a set of 7 speed Alivios but thinking thumb shifters. Low buck project. Replaced the Rock Shox worn out elastomer fork with a Judy C I took off a $20 Raleigh. Bought it just for the fork.
Great frame to build up! What are the handlebars?
Be a lot cooler if you cut out that top tube & replaced it with a hockey stick shaped tube down low.
And swap the derailer drivetrain for a sweet chrome Sturmey AW.
