I bought a used bike and want to lower my handlebars a bit. Are one of these a spacer that was added that I can remove?
If yes, do I need a different bolt when re assembling? This is a specialized Sirrus 1.0.
A bit of a newbie – advice is appreciated!

You can move one or two spacers from below the stem to above it, no new parts required. Here is an example of what it will look like after: [Can I move all the stem spacers to the bottom? | Mountain Bike Reviews Forum](https://www.mtbr.com/threads/can-i-move-all-the-stem-spacers-to-the-bottom.1156629/)
Remove below, replace above.
Or flip the stem over. A little more tedious than removing spacers and will decrease the angle more.
The spacers and the stem mount thickness represents the total length of the exposed steerer tube. If you remove a spacer, the headset adjustment is no longer viable. You can rearrange the spacers so that some of them are above the stem mount. “Flipping” the stem is another way to quickly lower the bar height, but in this case it might be extreme. If you lower the stem and you like the way it fits, a shop can trim the exposed steerer tube and eliminate extra spacers.
