  1. People that are afraid of bending at the waist. That’s what’s happening. Or, they like locking out their arms and transferring every bump straight into their shoulder joint

  2. Rider is probably 60+ and thinks raising their bars will help with their back when they really ought to work on their form. Nice bike though, get that FB marketplace score & slam those bars!

  3. Offer to buy them a hybrid in exchange for this bike.

Alternatively, maybe this is someone who needs to downsize their garage, but really doesn’t want to sell this bike so they’re making it look as stupid as possible.

  4. If you go look at it, observe the top cap when you turn the bars back and forth to see if the steerer tube is bent, lol.

This would only be complete if they also flipped the drop bars upside down for even more height.

I’m waiting to see an integrated carbon bar/stem with the bars molded-in upside down like DUI bars.

Yea that’s not a good idea , too much leverage on the steerer tube . That’s one way to get comfortable in the drops 🤣

  8. What is going on? Spine injury, that’s what’s going on. Dude should get a riser bar and stem though.

I’m willing to bet that has an extended steer tube adapter because I doubt that’s an OEM fit.

  10. I don’t know. I just want to know how they got the bike to stand up on its own for the picture
