Apologies for the bad photos, this is not my forte 🤣.

I think it’s an early Breezer frame hand built by Gary Fisher.

I got this second hand in Northern Spain. I’m mentioning the location because if I’ve identified the bike correctly, it makes no sense for it to be here.

I paid peanuts for the whole bike, I was actually after the suntour shifters.

I don’t do restorations, I strictly convert bikes to my own needs, but I’m now doubting with this one.

The thing comes with a kickstand bracket, 47cm chainstays and long front end, which makes a restomod son tempting.

I love how everyone with absolutely no knowledge (in bikes or photography) always thinks they have a winning lottery ticket.
Care to explain how you came to your conclusion?

Seriously, are you trolling here? There’s a name right on the bike, why didn’t you post photos of that?

I think it was Tom Richey who made early Gary Fisher frames. But I feel like this whole post is rage bait anyway, haha

yoo i think i can chime in with some actual information on this. but I am sorry to say i don’t think it it is as graily as you think it is. I have a very very similar model with the generic “Mountain Bike” label with the same font, same handlebars, shifters, grips, heck even the same kickstand. Bigger difference is the frame geometry and the fork. Don’t have more pictures on me right now unfortunately.

Mine is labelled “Pegasus” which is a quite generic German bike brand. I did not find any more infos on this online but i concluded for myself that it was their early entry to the mountain bike market. I really like this bike though, it’s quite unique with the frame geometry, room for big tyres, Suntour Alpine Gear derailleur (with a huuuge 38 tooth cog in the rear for the time), cool wellgo beartrap pedals, a nice Ofmega chainring, Weinmann 420 cantis and a very elusive Maillard Heliomatic rear hub.

All of this doesn’t mean yours has the same history with the Pegasus brand but I am very sure they came from the same factory! In any case, enjoy and feel free to ask questions. I was in the same situation where I thought I have something special on my hand at first. Still think It’s special but in its own way

  4. But dude, have you even had a look at the scrapyard rubbish you are building?

I’d rather walk than ride one of your bikes.
