I was working on my p-line the other day when I decided to pull out this seat post sleeve and found lots of rust from the frame was on it. Is this normal to see inside the frame? I have only had the p-line for a year and this sleeve has been installed the whole time.

Also, I was thinking, it looks like the difference between the normal and extended seat posts is around 2.5 inches. If I wanted to get the carbon seat post would I be ok with the normal height seat post if there is more than 2.5 inches of height adjustment on the sleeve?

  1. Seatpost sleeves shouldnt be able to be pulled out like this by hand, they are glued on to the frame so I suggest you change it.

  2. This is not a seatpost sleeve but saddle height adjuster. You suppose to measure and cut it for your preferable height. When everything is done right you just pull the seatpost all the way up and it stops at your desired height.
