Just make sure there aren’t any residual plastic pieces and you are good. Not all bikes have them. I think it’s just to protect your pants from getting caught in the chain.

OP, where in the crankset did this fall off: between the big ring and little ring, or behind the little ring? Force and Rival AXS chainrings integrate a plastic/polymer housing—the threads for the chainring bolts is in that. Though, the outer side of the big ring looks OK. Admittedly I haven’t spent much time with the wide 43/30 chainrings, so that might not be a crucial piece, depending on where it fell from.
