In Vancouver, that lane will not be connected to the main road like that. Instead, it extends longer and then merges to the main road. Alternatively will be it being its own lane on the right and the rightmost lane merges to the left before reaching the main road.
Wait a minute. Are you saying cars have turn signals now? Since when? Especially cop cars. Never seen a cop use their turn signal in 45 years of driving. Practice what you ticket other people for doing.
Also, the correct procedure for merging like this in the state of NC is for the merging car (the one in the "acceleration lane", as it's called in the official NC driver's handbook) to come to a dead stop at the end of the entrance lane and wait for a fellow Christian motorist who's already on the highway doing 65 mph to slow down to 25 mph to let you in, causing traffic to back up to the previous entrance, where someone else is doing the same thing. Which is why it takes 2 hrs to drive 20 miles instead of 20 minutes. Thanks, Jesus!

This junction is awful, whys that lane just abruptly end? How are they supposed to merge if theres oncoming traffic? I think theres more important problems here than just turn signal

Make that into lane a one way and put a 4th lane for a turning lane
completely depends on the angle of the road.
Why bother? Most people these days don't bother with turn signals; they might even believe they are an option on the car.

This intersection is dumb, there should be a give-way sign posted on the left lane which means there is no need to signal left.

It is confusing for drivers behind. If you use left signal i would think you want to go to left lane. Better not to give signal
