(1) First time hitting the 10ft drop on Hooch at Bryce Bike Park – YouTube
Now 5 months later I hit the biggest jump line “Hooch” at Bryce Bike Park in Basye, VA (USA).
Just wanted to share I’m super stoked I found MTB, wish I had started sooner (I'll be turning 50 next year). I tend to get obsessed with new hobbies and go all in. Every time I ride I try to progress without stepping too far beyond my skill/comfort level. Next year looking to clean these jump and start heading up to some parks in NE.

hell yeah, smooth as butter out there!
Nice! I thought that was Bryce. I know what you mean about wishing you’d started sooner. I actually started riding in HS, hung it up for near 30 years, then got the bug again around 2019. I just turned 50 and am still at it, although I did break down and get an eMTB for my birthday. Looking back I wish I’d stuck with it all those years. But now I’m making up for lost time. My son is into riding now and we hit Bryce, Massanutten and Snowshoe whenever we can.
That’s a nice open drop to learn on. Looks like a great bike park.
I can tell you’re reasonably new to the sport… most people would *claim* that’s at least 15ft!
Stoked on both the send and the accurate estimation!
