This is rare enough that it may expose my anonymity, but this is the coolest bike I’ve ever owned and one of the coolest I’ve ever seen.

This is Greg’s personal titanium bike that he raced in the beginning of the ‘91 season (Paris-Nice)

Other than that, it’s served as the prototype for Merlin Extralight’s, that were released afterwards. This photo, that I took, has been around the internet a little bit after I posted it when I first took it and confirmed there bike’s authenticity.

  1. It’s interesting how the seat stays seem so much larger in diameter compared to the chain stays. Wonder what the intent was there. Or were the seat stays ovalized?
