I don’t often like a mismatch color scheme but you executed it incredibly well. it’s hard to pull off a non-chalant almost outsiders perspective to color theory while still nailing the proportions of each one. Cool ass lever/brake color match combo, that’s carrying a lot of the load here but it’s well done.

I like the color scheme. I am a fan of the era of MTB.
Front rack? Go for it. My 96 Stumpjumper has got one.
Side note. Chain looks long. If you don’t ever get in the small chainring, then it’s not that big of a deal, but if you do, get that chain cut shorter.
